Effortless Spring Outfits
A new season brings new fashion inspiration! And what better way to break out of those winter blues than with some spring outfit ideas? In preparation for the new season, I’m sharing some of my favorite spring outfits I’ll be wearing on repeat, as well as some fresh outfit inspo from my favorite fashion it-girls.
Most of these outfits you can recreate with pieces you already own! In addition to wardrobe staples, I’ve included some of the season’s hottest trends to invigorate your spring style.
Ecru denim, accent jacket & ballet flats.

The ‘quiet luxury’ trend continues with refined, timeless pieces that never go out of style. This spring, I’m taking inspiration from fashion icon Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s minimal yet elegant everyday style.
Replicate the look by pairing a black accent jacket with off-white denim—her go-to color palette. Here, I’ve worn a chic black cropped jacket from Sezane, but any style of top will work (black cardigan, blazer, leather jacket, tweed jacket, etc). Tap into Carolyn’s effortlessly chic vibe with ballet flats, a luxe bag, and 90s-inspired sunnies (these Celine sunglasses are my new fave!).
Metallic moments.

One of spring’s most eye-catching trends is metallics. Metallic silvers, bronze, and gold dazzled all over the runways, but silver will be particularly popular.
I’ve been experimenting with adding touches of silver to my outfits with stunning silver ballet flats. Style them with a neutral outfit to let them shine. Studded purses, kitten heels, sandals, or pants (if you’re really bold) are also perfect for dipping your toes in this trend.
Pop of red.
Bold, cherry red hues are huge for spring this year. I love how Brooke’s casual outfit of baggy jeans and a knit sweater is instantly elevated by the pop of red from her adorable ballet flats. Finish the look with a basket bag, the perfect spring accessory, in my opinion.
Striped sweater + white denim.

Here is another spring outfit idea that’s elevated yet minimal. I think it gives Paris in spring vibes with the trench coat, striped sweater, and straight-leg off-white jeans. I’ve kept things chic with my everyday YSL shoulder bag, Celine sunglasses, and black ballet flats—my shoe of choice for the season!
Striped cardigan, baggy jeans + mini bag.
I love warm spring days when the only layer you need is a striped knitted cardigan. Style this wardrobe essential by wearing it as a top paired with baggy jeans and comfortable sneakers. A mini bag and eclectic jewelry add a casual-cool touch to this spring outfit.
Straw tote, jeans + sneakers.

The Adidas Samba was one of last year’s most popular shoe styles, and there are no signs of it going out of style any time soon. Mine have become a wardrobe staple! They look great styled with a simple cardigan, tee, and jeans for a stylish yet laid-back outfit.
I chose my Anine Bing straw bag to finish this everyday look, which fits everything I need for the day. I love crochet/raffia for spring and summer, but any slouchy, oversized tote bag will be on trend.
Denim skirt + chunky knit + feminine accessories.

Here’s another spring outfit idea I’m totally obsessed with.
Denim midi skirts are a year-round staple in my closet. Above, I’ve paired it with a crewneck cashmere sweater to give this spring outfit a cozy boost. Ballet flats and dainty gold jewelry keep this look feeling flirty and feminine.
Waistcoat vest + jeans + sneakers.
Fall’s office-core power dressing trend is still going strong in 2024. Whether you’re heading to the office or just want to look posh and professional, reach for items like matching suits, oversized blazers, trousers, and tailored vests.
This trend might be of the moment, but it’s also so classic. I love how this outfit partners a chic vest top with white denim and casual sneakers for an effortless look ideal for warm spring days.
Trench coat + relaxed denim + stripes.

Spring is the time to play with prints. My go-to pattern is always stripes, which look chic and elevated no matter the season. In this casual outfit for spring, I started with a pair of relaxed denim, a striped knit, and a trench coat to give the outfit more dimension.
I love how my sweater pulls in the stripes on my Sambas for a cohesive, well-styled look. Feel free to make this look your own and experiment with animal prints, color-blocked patterns, or springtime florals!
Sporty chic.

Elevated athleisure is here to stay!
On days I want to be comfy, you’ll find me in my fave Lululemon black leggings, a luxe hoodie, and Samba sneakers. I’ve also thrown on a trench coat, my Quince Crossbody Clutch, and a cap to give off that sporty chic vibe.
Denim midi skirt + striped shirt + knee-high boots.
Here’s more proof that you need a denim midi skirt in your life. I love this look for weekend events with friends or for a desk-to-drinks outfit during the week.
This combo of a denim skirt, striped button-down, and knee-high boots is ultra-chic. Tying a sweater around your shoulders is the ultimate cool-girl styling hack for making the best outfits even better.
Tweed jacket + high-waisted denim + sling-back heels.
Lightweight jackets are a springtime essential. I love this jacket from French brand Atelier Simai, though any tweed jacket will achieve a similar vibe. Here, Pauline styled hers with an all-cream look that’s easy to replicate with a white tank and high-waisted jeans or trousers.
The final result is simple, chic, and full of spring fashion trends! Including high-waisted trousers that elongate the legs and stylish sling-back sandals for a 90s vibe.
Slouchy cardigan + casual tee + tote bag.

There’s no easier outfit than an oversized cashmere cardigan and casual tank. I might style these basics with black leggings for comfy days at home. When heading out for the day, I’ll opt for a pair of comfortable (yet stylish) jeans, sneakers, and my everyday tote bag.
Button-down + straight-leg jeans + sneakers.

If you’re on the hunt for more casual outfits for spring, check out the look above. This spring outfit idea features items you already have in your wardrobe. After all, you don’t need to splurge this season to stay on trend!
Go simple with a pair of straight-leg jeans—which will always be in style, in my opinion. A casual tee shirt or bodysuit is the perfect base for warm spring days. Finally, add an oversized button-down for a breezy layer.
Baggy jeans + baseball hat + sweater.
I love this as a rainy spring day fit or as a cozy cute look for hanging out with friends and grabbing coffee. Recreate it at home by pairing baggy jeans (or trousers) with a slouchy knit sweater. Throw on a baseball cap, shoulder bag, and sneakers, and you’re ready to go.
The pop of pistachio green is also on trend for spring!
Sweater + button-down shirt + sleek flats.

The key to an effortless spring outfit is all in the styling. Here, I’ve achieved an easy yet polished look by layering a cozy crewneck over my button-down and jeans. (The Sezane Tomboy button-down peeking out beneath the sweater is so chic!)
My studded leather bag and metallic flats are a fun and stylish accent that makes this outfit more exciting.
Denim jacket + ivory jeans + cool sunglasses.
get the look:
A denim jacket always comes in handy, especially in the spring! Wear it with ivory jeans and a blue shirt for the ultimate spring uniform. When it comes to accessories, there are endless styling possibilities—Though you can’t go wrong with a fabulous pair of designer sunnies and your everyday bag.
Preppy layers.
Classic preppy pieces like polo shirts, button-downs, cardigans, and pull-over knits will be another trend we see emerge this spring. Lean into the aesthetic by mixing preppy items with casual garments like leggings, baggy jeans, or sneakers.
I’m taking inspo from how @ktlaime styled classic pieces like a striped knit and button-down with wide-leg jeans and Ugg boots. The overall effect is casual yet elevated.
Oversized blazer + mini dress + dad sneakers.
Warmer days call for mini dresses! Try this casual outfit for spring by throwing an oversized blazer over a mini dress. I love this gray knit one, but you could also bring out those floral dresses that are perfect in spring.
Dad sneakers and socks prevent the outfit from feeling too fancy, but you can totally dress it up by swapping the sneakers for kitten heels or strappy sandals.
Blue shirt + little white tee + casual denim.
You can’t go wrong with the classics. Pull this look together by pairing a button-down shirt (ideally one in a pastel hue like this baby blue) with a white tee and your favorite pair of jeans. Depending on the weather, you can opt for sneakers like I did here or a cute pair of sandals or flats.
Wide-leg trousers + ballet flats + leather jacket.
Leather jackets make any outfit cooler, probably why they’re such a big spring 2024 trend. It’s also a great layering piece for crisp spring days!
I love how Anouk styled her leather jacket with wide-leg trousers, ballet flats, and a crossbody bag for the perfect balance of feminine and masculine.
I hope you have enjoyed this list of spring outfits. My goal is that they have inspired you to update your wardrobe with a fresh and modern feel for 2024!
